Wrap a Van for a Cause!

At Fox Plumbing Heating Cooling Electrical, investing in our community is at the forefront of the values our company stands for. That’s why we are dedicated to building up our local communities in the Thompson Okanagan Region.

Our 2022 Charity Van Champion! – North Okanagan Community Chaplaincy. The North Okanagan Community Chaplaincy provide physical, spiritual, and emotional care to the street entrenched population.

We are thrilled to announce it’s that time of year where you get to nominate your favourite Charity or Non-Profit Organization for the 2023 Wrap a Van for a Cause Program! The winning organization’s Service Van will roll off the lot March 1, 2023 along side the winning Van from 2022!

That’s right, we’ll be running two vans in 2023!

Again, in 2023 we will be wrapping one of our service vans with a charity or non-profit organization’s logo for the entire 2023 calendar year, with 5% of revenue generated by that van will go directly to the charity selected for the entire year.

Figuring out which charity or non-profit will be the benefactor will the best part! Nominations will begin October 31st and we will accept up to 32 nominated organizations, the field will be set, a bracket will be built, and the voting head-to-head voting fun will begin!

Voting will kick off on November 28th through our social community. Nominees are encouraged to also engage their social communities during this time to collect as many votes as possible to make it to the next round. Voting will end on January 13th, and the 2023 winner will be notified January 23rd. Our public announcement will be announced through social media on January 30th. Like 2022, the van will be unveiled at the Vernon Vipers Family Day Game February 20, 2023.

Supply chain and shipping problems were evident in 2022, from finding simple household items to ordering large parts for repairs, so we decided we wanted to do something special for the North Okanagan Community Chaplaincy and have their Van run again in 2023. We are also happy to announce that the top 3 runners up for Wrap a Van for a Cause 2023 will all receive a $500 donation. Last year’s recipients were:

• Starfish Backpack Program
